What is it?

The Helix is the brilliant new pre-filtration device that can help you save thousands of gallons of water and reduce filter maintenance. Based on the principles of centrifugal water filtration – it collects 80% of the dirt that clogs your filter before it gets there.It drastically reduces backwashing and filter cartridge maintenance. There are no moving parts to wear and tear, and no filter media to clean or replace.

How does it work?

Water travels up through the bottom of the unit where it hits a plate that forces the water back down into 16 cyclone funnels. As the water is forced down into the funnels it spins and debris is forced out to the walls which causes it to fall down into the funnel. Clean water then flows up through the center of the cyclone and out the top of the unit. The dirt and debris falls down and settles in the clear canister below. When enough debris is settled in the canister a flush valve located at the bottom of the canister is opened and debris is purged out of the waste line.

Easy Clean Out

As debris is separated from pool water it spirals down and settles in the sediment chamber. Accumulation is easily monitored thru the clear lower half of the cyclone. When it is time to flush a simple twist of the release valve will clear the sediment while losing as little as four gallons of water.
